The dog barks, and the caravan goes!

Ferhat Karmil

Fellow chess composers! Before registering on our website and taking part in contests, we kindly ask you to familiarize yourself with Site rules. This applies equally to both judges and contestants ChessStar.com. In this case, you will know your rights and obligations much better and, as a result, easily solve possible issues related to judging, publication, and so on, which may, due to various circumstances, arise on the site.
You have the opportunity to get acquainted with Site rules when registering:

By clicking on the Registration button, you agree to all the conditions that are prescribed in Site rules. And if so, on what basis do some of you use epithets like «scandalous site», thus showing dissatisfaction, in particular, with the results of a certain competition.
Always write to the point and follow Rules otherwise your comments and claims will not be considered!

I wonder what is the scandalous nature of our resource?! Is it really the fact that in our articles, sometimes, we write about the stagnation, retrogradism and venality of some functionaries who, like octopuses, have covered our entire small composer family with their tentacles?! Or, when we are fundamentally tough, but fairly, we solve the issues of the boorish attitude of some would-be judges to their colleagues, thinking that everything is allowed to them?! Apparently, the above-mentioned judge did not read the «Rules of the site», but should have. By the way, we have already received letters with positive feedback about our decision based on the results of the annual competition, 3#.
We are no match for some publishers and websites where insults and abusive words of users towards each other have become the norm?!
Why don't you, guardians of justice, high culture and morality, stop these sometimes titled chess composers?! You don't want to get involved, or has such communication become the norm for you, especially public, or maybe you don't have the guts?!

Therefore, before you accuse us of anything, besides unreasonably, look better at yourself in the mirror, although you probably won't see yourself there!

We proposed to create The Ethics Commission, which could regulate relations between composers and so on, but our attempts were simply ignored by the "powerful of this world"!

Let's continue to talk about the productive and positive.
Over the past year, we have implemented a lot of options on the ChessStar website. Recently, there has been a tendency for users to register on our site more often than before, and the number of subscribers is constantly growing and attendance has doubled, according to Google Analytics. This is especially true for english-speaking users.

This shows that we are on the right track! And some of you, let them continue to yap with foam at the mouth. No wonder the eastern proverb says: the dog barks, and the caravan goes!
